Riots in Iran
Beginning in the 1950's the country of Iran was starting to tear apart.  The relations between Iran and the United States were starting to diminish after President Carter had inserted himself into the Iranians economy.  The United States had halted oil imports from Iran and even froze some of there profitable materials.  These actions were not taken lightly by the country of Iran.  The Iranians decided to fight back.  On November 4, 1979, a group of radical students called, "Imam's Disciples" ran into an American Embassy building in Iran.  These 500 or so students seized the embassy building and took 66 people hostage.  The Iranians reasoning behind taking the American citizens and diplomats hostage at the American Embassy in Teheran, Iran was because the United States helped  Iran's former leader Mohammed Reza Pahlavi's after he resigned and was diagnosed with lymphoma.   After the Americans were taken hostage, the Americans labeled this battle the Iran Hostage Crisis.
